SOCIAL WORKER/ ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR
FOR MANHATTAN: (19 Union Square West-7th Floor) and BROOKLYN: (175 Remsen Street-Downtown Brooklyn)
Clinical Staff (CASAC/ LMSW’s) to facilitate Adult Chemical Dependency groups, Adolescent groups, provide occasional intake assessments, attend daily interdisciplinary staff meetings and case conferences, participate in weekly supervision and training.
Intake Counselors (CASAC/ LMSW’s) to engage and navigate new clients through the intake process and complete comprehensive intake assessments. Experience with addiction treatment required.
Some positions require knowledge and experience with MICA, and/or sex addiction, and/or gay/lesbian issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
LMSW or eligible LMSW/ CASAC, good assessment skills, experience with substance abuse groups, excellent engagement skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment. “FRIEND OF BILL’S” A MAJOR PLUS, non-smoker a plus.
